The Syrian conflict has created the worst humanitarian crisis of our time, with half the country’s pre-war population - more than 11 million people - having been killed or forced to flee their homes. In light of this 19 Little Ilford students organised a sponsored walk from their school to the Houses of Parliament on Saturday to raise money for Syrian families in crisis.
Despite some of the students struggling towards the end, they all completed their 10 miles in good spirits and have raised an excellent total for those in need. They arrived back at school in time for applause and congratulations from their family and friends who were attending the school Fete. Particular congratulations go to Aaliyah and Haajrah who virtually organised the event by themselves.
