Following our move to a state-of-the-art building, we are looking for two visionary leaders to join our energetic Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and help us redefine what is possible for our diverse student body.

We are seeking two "lead professionals" who are excellent classroom practitioners and strategic thinkers.

1. Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion

You will be the champion for our most vulnerable learners, ensuring that every student, regardless of background or need, reaches their full potential.

  • Lead the SEND provision and Pupil Premium strategy to close the disadvantage gap.
  • Ensure "every teacher is a teacher of SEND" by supporting staff and managing a multidisciplinary team.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a SENCO qualification (or a commitment to achieve it within 3 years).

2. Assistant Headteacher – Staff Development

You will be the lead professional for staff growth, operating on the principles that "every teacher is a learner" and that the secret to student success lies in the development of the adults within school.

  • Design and implement a high quality, research-informed development pathways/CPD for all staff, that prioritise sustained and meaningful growth. 
  • Oversee our ECT and PGCE programmes.
  • Oversee and refine our coaching models, ensuring they remain formative and impactful. 
  • Lead our performance development processes to deliver consistency and transparency.
  • Lead on staff wellbeing; looking at ways to streamline workload and remove potential barriers to great teaching.
  • To lead the induction of new staff, ensuring they are effectively supported when joining the LIS community.
