A few weeks ago, a guest attended Little Ilford School to do some English Literature revision with us; Mr Bruff is a Youtuber whom many students watch, not for entertainment but rather a source of revision and help in preparation for exams. He first talked about Shakespeare referencing Macbeth frequently. We were given a booklet with key aspects of his presentation including important features and quotations from the text which has been beneficial for revision at home. Mr Bruff was very engaging throughout the Q&A session as well as a range of activities focusing on our English literature GCSE exams. He went over key quotations with us as well as analysing Lady Macbeth’s soliloquy.
He also gave us useful advice on English language such as time management and the importance of creative writing.
Overall, I’d say that the experience was extremely helpful and made us realise what we need to focus on for our English GSCEs.
